Here is a new kid on the block
The 5 1/2" Salamander has long been a rival to fish from trout to Muskie. These creatures are fish egg thieves. When caught these smooth skinned creatures are a delicious meal. Often when preyed upon by a fish, salamanders are not always eaten but certainly are killed thus why it's fish catching properties are a must for all anglers. Fish hate salamanders so much that they are at times held on to for a very long time until the fish decides to either eat the morsel or destroy it's enemy in their powerful jaws.
